Miranda Kragulj’s day job is at the United Nations, teaching English to staff in Vienna, Austria, where she lives, and in the field offices online. She is a mother of two and became a caregiver at 45 when her husband suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed. Miranda suddenly realized that life is short and thought about all the things in life she had wanted to do but always put off.
Once she picked herself up, she decided that she really wanted two things: to accomplish something for herself and to give to others. Teaching is what comes naturally to Miranda, so she decided to start an English blog and YouTube channel, mainly as a hobby. Miranda’s biggest hope is that her channel helps people who may not have the resources to enroll in English courses although they have the will and motivation to study hard. So far it has been incredibly rewarding.
In this episode, I sit down with Miranda to deep dive into what it is like being a teacher for the United Nations and online. Miranda shares her passion for helping others learn english and her unique way of teaching others based on their culture and knowledge.
